We coordinate an annual Film Festival and Development Lab on the Isle of Tiree, monthly online Conversation sessions, in-person festival meet-ups; and much more!

Sea Change Film Festival

Since 2018, Sea Change Film Festival has presented a weekend programme of critically-acclaimed films, industry events, discussions and special guests on the beautiful Isle of Tiree.

Our diverse programme showcases critically-acclaimed international films made by female and non-binary filmmakers. But it’s more than just a film festival: it’s an invitation to gather to celebrate the magic of cinema. We encourage our audiences to swim in the clear seas, attend beach Yoga and explore beautiful Hebridean landscapes and dramatic skies. By connecting deeply with Tiree’s landscape and culture, the festival inspires fresh ways of gathering and exchanging experiences through film.

This year’s festival will take place on 18 – 20th September. Explore the programme

Sea Change Development Lab

Sea Change doesn’t just show films made by women. Through our Development Lab, we empower women, too.

Sea Change Development Lab welcomes women and non-binary people in the film and screen industries to the Isle of Tiree for three days of mentoring, skill-sharing, and discussion. The Lab is an invaluable space to reflect on how far you’ve come, and help you to refine where you’d like to go.

Each Lab is led by experienced coaches who will help participants to clarify their professional goals through a series of workshops, talks and discussions. Previous Lab attendees have worked across screen production, exhibition and distribution.

This year’s Lab will take place from Tuesday 15th – Friday 18th September 2026.

Sea Change is run by the Tiree-based Screen Argyll and supported by Screen Scotland. Film Hub Scotland fund the Screen Argyll Network.
