Online 6 week course for adults, £120 per person

Tuesday evenings 7.30 – 9.30pm 12th May – 16th June

Have you always wanted to make a film?
Could learning filmmaking skills help your professional development?

Screen Argyll’s online filmmaking workshops will allow you to build your own language of cinema by making your own films.
Using the technology you have at hand we will explore the fundamental elements of film:

  • How does a shot work?
  • What does sound do?
  • How does a filmmaker connect with their audience?
  • How do you edit a film together?

Over the course of 6 weekly sessions you will learn how to make films that connect with their audience and allow your voice to be heard.

Alasdair Satchel is a film and theatre maker based on the Isle of Mull off the West Coast of Scotland. He makes a podcast called What We Do in the Winter about the lives of the people of the islands around Mull and Iona, and his films explore the nature of how communities express themselves.
