Our animation education programme builds pathways into industry for young people across Argyll and the Isles! 

This year we are excited to be delivering our Animated Argyll education days in Oban, Mull and Campbeltown. 

Working in partnership with local cinemas and community halls, join us for some in-person networking opportunities, careers sessions, film screenings, and hands-on workshops. 

Schools Screenings

This year we are celebrating 50 years of Aardman with schools screenings of Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit with an introduction and Q & A by Jim Parkyn, professional model-maker who worked on the film!

Shorts for Families:

Join us for Discovery Shorts for Families, a selection of the best short films for young film fans, first shown at Discovery Film Festival in Dundee last year. These colourful films from around the world are fun and thought-provoking!

CPD Sessions

How could you use Film and Animation in your classroom or education setting?

An informal session introducing the new Film and Screen Curriculum for Scotland. Open to teachers, youth workers, home school practitioners, library/heritage staff, and community cinema volunteers. Free tea and cake!

Community Cinema Network

A chance for anyone involved in our community cinema network to get together and talk about how it’s going! Join us for the Discovery Film Festival shorts for Families before hand, and / or our Screen Argyll showreel. Free tea and cake!
