Tiree is a small remote island on the west coast of Scotland, in the Atlantic Ocean. It is the most westerly island of the Inner Hebrides, and has a population of around 650 people. Though only 10 miles long and 5 miles wide, the sky and sea stretch from horizon to horizon, and it is also known as ‘The Land Beneath the Waves’.
